The Board of Directors of Telenav, Inc. (the "Company") sets high standards for the Company's employees, officers and directors. Implicit in this philosophy is the importance of sound corporate governance. It is the duty of the Board of Directors to serve as a prudent fiduciary for shareholders and to oversee the management of the Company's business. HP Jin
HP Jin co-founded TeleNav in 1999, leveraging his expertise in location and wireless Internet technologies and his years of experience in business management and strategy development. Prior to starting TeleNav, he served as senior strategy consultant for the McKenna Group where he developed business strategies for companies in telecom and IT. Before that, HP worked at McKinsey & Company as a business strategy and management consultant, advising wireless and landline operators on data and wireless strategies. HP was also a technical director at LINCSS/Loral, where he was involved in R&D management, strategic alliance initiatives and business model development.
HP holds a Ph.D. in Guidance, Navigation and Control (Aeronautics and Astronautics department), a Ph.D. minor in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China.
Bob Rennard
Bob Rennard is a co-founder of TeleNav and was a principal engineer in designing the Global Positioning System (GPS). Bob has years of experience in commercial product development management, serving most recently as executive director of product development at Cyberstar/Loral. While there, he was responsible for developing satellite-based broadband Internet delivery systems. Bob also held the position of vice president of engineering at Loral Integrated Navigation Communication Satellite System (LINCSS). Prior to Loral, he was a vice president of GPS Navigation Systems at Stanford Telecom and an acquisition program manager in the U.S. Air Force.
Bob holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Science from the Air Force Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University.
Douglas Miller
With more than 20 years of executive experience in finance for global high-tech companies, Doug Miller brings a wealth of financial management knowledge to TeleNav. Most recently, he served as vice president and CFO of LongBoard, Inc., a privately-held, venture-backed provider of telecommunications software. Doug also helped lead the successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Synplicity, Inc., a provider of electronic design software, where he served as senior vice president and CFO. He has assisted in completing several other IPOs for companies in the software, fabless semiconductor and Internet industries.
Doug has previously served as CFO for 3Dlabs Inc., Ltd, a manufacturer of semiconductor devices. He was also a partner at Ernst & Young LLP where he serviced global high-tech manufacturing and computer software companies.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Santa Clara and is a certified public accountant.
Y. C. Chao
Y.C. Chao is a co-founder of TeleNav and has extensive experience in navigation
technology implementation as well as software and hardware development. His
career includes a track record of success in wireless location technology, networkassisted
navigation algorithm development, and the implementation of real-time
embedded systems for navigation applications. Y.C. was a GPS software engineer at
SnapTrack, where he worked on network-assisted GPS chipset performance,
evaluation and software development. Prior to SnapTrack, Y.C. was a GPS receiver
engineer for Trimble Navigation.br />
Y.C. holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, a Master
of Science from the University of Texas Aerospace Engineering Center for Space
Research, and a Bachelor of Science from National Taiwan University.
Sal Dhanani
Sal Dhanani is a co-founder of TeleNav and brings years of experience in product marketing, product management, business strategy and operations within the telecom industry. Prior to TeleNav, Sal worked with the McKenna Group, a leading strategy-consulting firm, where he developed market entry, product launch and expansion strategies for various start-ups, telecom companies and telecom infrastructure providers. Before joining the McKenna Group, Sal was responsible for product development and management at Schlumberger Ltd., Test and Transactions Group.
Sal completed coursework through Stanford University's IEEM program and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Dariusz Paczuski
As vice president of marketing, Dariusz Paczuski is responsible for corporate, channel and consumer product marketing as well as mobile advertising and commerce for TeleNav. Dariusz's career spans 15 years in consumer-focused media including mobile, local, search, content, and advertising. Dariusz joined TeleNav from Microsoft where he led the Bing and Tellme carrier strategy to transform directory assistance into mobile search. Previously, he managed the consumer services business at Tellme where he introduced award-winning products including Tellme with Bing for BlackBerry and Windows phones, and Ford SYNC with Tellme voice services. Prior to joining Tellme, Dariusz served as vice president of search products at AOL, where he managed marketing, product and design. During his career, Dariusz has also held leadership roles at Netscape, MSNBC, NBC and General Electric (GE).
Dariusz holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Certificate in International Business from California State University in Long Beach.
Hassan Wahla
Hassan Wahla has more than 14 years of experience in the wireless and telematics industries. Hassan is responsible for establishing and managing partnerships with wireless carriers, content providers, channel partners and device manufacturers. Prior to joining TeleNav, he managed the GPS Tracking Product Portfolio at Nextel Communications. He also developed and implemented the Consumer LBS strategy for Nextel. Hassan has held several other senior management positions including vice president of business development at Wireless Multimedia Solutions, director of business development at MicroStrategy, Inc, and senior consultant at Maritime Power Corporation.
Hassan holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, Master of Science in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Thomas Erdman
An industry veteran of the mobility and telecommunications space, Tom Erdman has more than 25 years of experience delivering business solutions to enterprise customers. At TeleNav he leads the sales, marketing, product, and customer care functions for TeleNav Enterprise Solutions. Prior to TeleNav, Tom held the positions of chief marketing officer at Vettro Corporation, vice president of AT&T Mobility, and executive vice president of sales and marketing at Business Telecom Inc (BTI). Earlier in his career, he held a number of diverse sales and marketing leadership positions at AT&T, MCI and British Telecom (BT).
Tom holds a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
Longxue Li
Longxue Li joined TeleNav in 1999 as one of the company's first employees and served as operations and project manager. In 2002, Longxue was promoted to general manager of TeleNav ShangHai, Inc. and TeleNav BeiJing, Inc. where he manages TeleNav's Chinese operations and much of TeleNav's engineering operations. Longxue also serves on the company's board of directors. Before he began his career at TeleNav, Longxue was a senior consultant for LCI International, which was later acquired by Qwest International. Longxue has years of experience in commercial software development as he served as a senior software engineer and product manager for ScanData Systems as well as a software engineer for Entek Scientific Corp.
Longxue received his Master of Engineering in computer engineering from Wright State University, a graduate degree in management at the Harbin Institute of Technology in China, and his Bachelor of Science from Dalian Institute of Technology in China.
Loren Hillberg
Loren Hillberg has more than 20 years of legal and management experience, bringing a broad range of technology business expertise to the TeleNav management team. Prior to joining TeleNav, Loren served as vice president, general counsel for Force10 Networks where he was a key member of the executive team providing counsel for day to day operations and strategic decisions. Loren has also served as chief legal officer for a number of companies including Macrovision Corporation, Macromedia, Inc. and Micro Focus Group, where he held executive roles responsible for strategic operations and legal counsel. He began his legal career as a corporate attorney at Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe.
Loren holds a B.A. in economics from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
